Class Action - the Court dismissed the Complaint, finding that it lacked subject matter jurisdiction over the claims of foreign purchasers of NAB securities purchased on non-U.S. exchanges - the Court also ruled that the domestic Lead Plaintiff who purchased NAB ADRs did not sustain damages, dismissed the claims of all ADR purchasers, and granted Plaintiffs leave to file an amended complaint on behalf of domestic purchasers only - Lead Plaintiffs are presently determining whether to appeal the decision

Class Action - a firm of US lawyers, Goodkind, Labaton, Rudoff & Sucharow LLP (now called Labaton Sucharow & Rudoff LLP), assisted by Australian law firm, Slater & Gordon, has filed a class action in the US District Court alleging that the National Australia Bank and various current and past executives misled shareholders as to the true financial position of its then US subsidiary, HomeSide Lending - Australian investors who purchased NAB shares between July 22 1999 and September 4 2001 will be able to have their claims dealt with in the US class action and shareholders who purchased NAB shares between 1 April 1999 and 3 September 2001 - whether they be mum-and-dad retail investors or large institutional investors - should obtain legal advice to ensure their rights are protected - if you purchased NAB shares during the relevant period you should contact Slater & Gordon on 1800 555 777
