More Exchange Rates
There are five main registry companies in Australia and half a dozen small operators.
Only a handful of listed entities maintain their own share register.
The primary function of the registry companies is to update and manage company share registers. Most also provide a range of related services.
Change of Address vital
Arguably as a shareholder your most important function in relation to the registries is to advise them of a change of address. Hundreds of millions of dollars have “gone missing” in Australia over the years because shareholders have failed to advise their company’s registry (or their broker) of a change of address. Click here for the form.

Advice of your COMMUNICATION requirements
All registries should provide one screen so that shareholders can advise how they wish to receive all communications. These days you should be able to elect to receive all communications electronically including notification of the annual report and payment statements, or specify your requirements for individual entities.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS NOTIFICATION To be used by securityholders to advise of any change of address.
NAME CORRECTION REQUEST AND INDEMNITY To be used by securityholders for minor corrections to registered name details.
SECTION 1071B STATEMENT Required to be completed by the executor/s or administrator/s of an estate where the probate or letters of administration have not been granted or resealed in the state or territory in which the securities are registered.
TRANSMISSION APPLICATION To be completed by the executor/s or administrator/s of an estate where the securities are to be removed from the deceased name into the name/s of the executor/s or administrator/s
SMALL ESTATE STATEMENT AND INDEMNITY To be completed by the executor/s or administrator/s of an estate where the company or registry agrees to waive the need for production of Australian probate or the reseal of an overseas probate.
INTESTATE STATEMENT & INDEMNITY For the use of the proposed administrator/s of an estate when no will exists.
Complaints about share registries
deListed and many other professionals in the market place are well aware that the service provided by some registries out of some offices leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately there is no regulatory authority for the registries. If you have a complaint in relation to a share registry, you should in the first instance direct your complaint to the Complaints Manager at the registry:
Advanced Registry Services: email@example.com
Link Market: firstname.lastname@example.org
Registries Limited: email@example.com
Security Transfer Registrars: firstname.lastname@example.org
If the registry is unable to satisfactorily resolve your complaint, you may wish to contact the company or trust in which you have invested. Contact details for listed companies and trusts can be accessed on this site by searching on the name or code. Last resort try ASX and/or ASIC.
InvestoGain and deListed in Australia are largely the result of voluntary effort. We welcome input and updates from investors, company officers, insolvency practitioners, regulatory bodies, registries and others to email@example.com.
